As a part of the rejuvenation of the centre of Manchester, near the canal, a new school has been built; the drive will be lined with 8 pieces of public art in the form of Folk Art for Birds - telegraph poles topped with dovecotes. Here they are from rough telegraph poles to finished item... 35 feet high. This is the first pair - the remaining 6 to follow shortly, so I will be making space to work on them ! |

| Part of a set of 5 panels (2 panels of roses and 2 of gears), in total measuring 75 feet by 8, designed by Phil Speight and painted by a team of volunteers including myself. Installed as part of the redevelopment of the Piccadilly Undercroft in Manchester City Centre alongside the Rochdale Canal. |

| This started as a simple vinyl window instalation, albeit the windows are 15 feet across, for another designer. As can be seen in pic 1 the reflections on the glass hide the text. Pictures 2 and 3 show the effect of contrast achieved by an outline and then full painted panel. (Christmas Eve 2005) |
