Something Larger

A sample of larger projects undertaken. These are in excess of 3 metres square. Please contact me for further details.

As a part of the rejuvenation of the centre of Manchester, near the canal, a new school has been built; the drive will be lined with 8 pieces of public art in the form of Folk Art for Birds - telegraph poles topped with dovecotes.

Here they are from rough telegraph poles to finished item... 35 feet high. This is the first pair - the remaining 6 to follow shortly, so I will be making space to work on them !

A carbunkel you wish to hide ? Solution a 16' x 8' display, note the final logo changed due to Porsche copyright infringment!

16 feet by 4 feet - and mounted 25 feet up.

May 2006 - part of a set of 10 panels for Danters Funfairs new Superbowl ride.

10 feet long, almost 2 feet tall profile cut and hand painted.

10 feet long, 2.5 feet tall the detail lines are carved and painted, the "screws" are almost 3inches across.

10 feet wide and 8 feet tall, this makes the actual Harley larger than life!

Part of a set of 5 panels (2 panels of roses and 2 of gears), in total measuring 75 feet by 8, designed by Phil Speight and painted by a team of volunteers including myself. Installed as part of the redevelopment of the Piccadilly Undercroft in Manchester City Centre alongside the Rochdale Canal.

Hard at work on the Picadilly project...an idea of size of the panels.

The Piccadilly volunteers.

This started as a simple vinyl window instalation, albeit the windows are 15 feet across, for another designer. As can be seen in pic 1 the reflections on the glass hide the text. Pictures 2 and 3 show the effect of contrast achieved by an outline and then full painted panel. (Christmas Eve 2005)
